Bryan's Here!

Hello everybody! Joshua here! BRYAN’S here!!! Ha-ha! We’ve had an incredible few days here… I honestly don’t think I will be able to explain to any justice. Our first day that Bryan arrived (Tuesday) Gigi hired a man to come and cook a huge meal… some of the best Rwandan food I’ve had yet! Patrick, Claude and Gigi’s sister Clarisse joined us. (Unfortunately Gigi herself couldn’t make it because she had to be at work) But the real cool thing was before the meal. Gigi’s sister Fanfan’s husband, (the one with the autistic boy) came to visit us. He is a lawyer who travels all over the country giving legal advice, setting up community projects and many many other things. He spent near two hours with us just sharing about the culture and things that the country was doing. It’s hard to summarize but it truly stunned us at how progressive the government was here.

Pop-corn Preaching!

Hello everybody! Well it’s been an exciting few days for me here in Kigali. Friday I spent the morning at the studio with Patrick and then at 6:00 met with Pastor Daniel. Language is a wonderful thing, especially when you are under the impression that you are going to have a nice relaxing evening with a family you love… and then realize, with not a moment to spare, that you are in-fact preaching to over 50+ youth and young adults… to make matters even more interesting… you are 45 minutes late!

Been a little while eh? Sorry!

Hey everyone! Been extremely busy over here... let's see what's new since I last wrote... I spent a day with Ezra going ALL over Kigali! He showed me his transition house for the street boys, the sewing project he's got, and the plot of land he bought for around 10 Rwandan families. What this man is doing is amazing!

Kibuye and piano playing @ the Serena Rwanda!

Hello everybody! Well, not too much has happened in the past few days. Spent some more time at the studio with Patrick just getting to know him a bit better. Watched him produce four songs from scratch... amazing. He then took me to the radio station and media studio. All very cool! It is amazing what these people do with what little they have! I mean this radio station was smaller than small! But they still manage to have guests and call-in feedback and everything!

Help a few Africans!

Hello Everyone! I am super excited to share something with you all!

Well hello everybody!

Well hello everybody! Been an exciting few days here in Rwanda! Yesterday (Sunday), I had my first experience of being on the worship team at church… man, do they ever have refined voices! After the English service I went to the kids service where Claude had already began. Everyone at Northview will be happy to know that the gifts that they gave where all very well received! Claude basically did a review of past lessons and songs with backpacks and stationary as prizes. They where all very excited!

Short but sweet!

Hey everyone! I have to make this short, because I didn't type this ahead of time... give a bit of an update... well these past few days have been pretty slow... mainly because the other day I woke up terribly ill! It was getting really really bad (very similar to my first time in Rwanda) so I was getting worried. But cool thing is, I sent out a few txt messages for people to pray, and almost immediately it stopped getting worse... I still was confined to a bed the whole day, but atleast I was not sleeping on the bathroom floor!

Second Sunday Church Service

Preaching

Well everybody, today I spoke at the KIA. I found out that it means Kigali Institute of Academics, which also means that they are all students to become teachers! I thought that was quite amazing and opportunistic! There ended up being near 70 people attending the study and the feed back was really good! To my advantage, it seems that there are very few people that preach on the betterment of children.
